Double-Jointed Rubbernecking Poodle

OK, let's talk about the definition of 'stay.' I believe it means that the dog is not to move a muscle, right? Or, is it that the dog is not to get up from the sitting position....?

Carbon is, technically speaking, in a 'stay,' in that her feet are not moving. But is she focused on her handler? Is she awaiting my next utterance with bated breath? I think not.

She is actually thinking about the small dog passing by, wondering if it is as interesting as it looks. She also knows she will be in BIG TROUBLE if she gets up. So she stays put, but is not really present.

This video is taken at the beach in Carpinteria, and that is why there is so much background noise (the roar of the ocean).

Anyway -- This is the story of my life. Trying to capture the attention of a very ADHD poodle.

Is this not the most bizarre and annoying poodle ever? And is Cody, her dog, not the sweetest boy in the world?

Why do you suppose he tolerates her obnoxiousness? And why do I love her so much????!!!
